Well… someone opened a tomb that probably would have been better left closed.
The Desert Tomb Pack has arrived in Fame & Fear: Dungeon Architect.
The new theme brings 13 new elements, bringing the catalog up to 98 modular pieces of content.
You’ll find a new themed floor, wall and door, new braziers, and several decorations to build proper tombs, burial chambers and corridors that aren’t exactly welcoming.
And of course, someone had to be there to guard all of this.
A new monster enters the dungeon.
I’m not sure how good he is at welcoming customers, but at least he takes his job very seriously.
There’s also a new trap: Demonic Hands.
When an adventurer steps over it, a series of demonic hands bursts from the ground, dealing damage and slowing them down.
Finally, something a little more interesting than the usual floor that simply tries to kill you.
I’ve also added a separate Tutorial mode, accessible directly from the main menu.
It’s a shorter 5-step guided experience, designed for anyone who wants to learn the basics without immediately starting a full game.
The regular campaign tutorial is still available as well.
I’ve also rebalanced the beginning of the game.
You can now choose between:
150 / 300 / 500 Dungeon Points
with 300 DP as the new default.
The catalog also received some attention: search now works better across different categories, handles punctuation more naturally, and automatically resets when switching tabs.
I’ve also been working behind the scenes to make adding and validating new content easier.
And considering the catalog has now reached 98 elements, I’ll probably need it.
The Desert Tomb is open.
Anubis is waiting for you.
Probably has been for quite a while.
