Hey Chief! We’re back with an updated beta build of Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition — a release candidate for the upcoming live patch.
As always, please report any issues you encounter. This update brings PST:EE up to the same patch level as the 2.7 updates for the other Infinity Engine games.
Steam Cloud Saves are now controlled directly through the Steam client rather than the in‑game options.
If you previously enabled Steam Cloud Saves in‑game, syncing will continue even if the Steam client setting is disabled.
If you disable the in‑game option, it will disappear from the menu. Re‑enable Cloud Saves through Steam’s Account and Application settings:

GOG Galaxy Cloud saves — now functioning properly.
A Scale UI option is now available in Graphics settings.
Disabled: UI remains at the intended 1024×768 size regardless of window size.
Enabled: UI scales to better fit the game window.
Minimum supported iOS version is now iOS 15.0.
Fixed an issue where .pstdata files were not recognized as PST:EE files. While this method now works, directly copying files to user‑accessible directories remains the recommended approach.
Modding dialog.tlk is now significantly easier in 3.2.1.
You can place a dialog.tlk file in: home:/override/<language>/dialog.tlk
Example (French): <user_path>\\Documents\\Planescape Torment - Enhanced Edition\\override\\fr_FR\\dialog.tlk
When the game is set to French, it will use this file instead of the default game data.
As a fallback, you can still place a dialog.tlk directly in: home:/override/dialog.tlk This file will be used for any language that does not have its own language‑specific override.
User‑Accessible Game Data
Android now supports exporting/importing user files to a visible directory: <root>/Documents/<game_name> Example: <root>/Documents/PlanescapeTorment/
Exporting:
Saving a file exports it to <root>/Documents/<game>/save/<save_name>.
Saves can be freely copied between PC and Android.
Deleting a save in‑game also deletes it from the Documents location.
Importing: From the start menu: Options → Data Folder
Data Folder: Shows the folder used for imports/exports.
Permissions: No — folder not user‑selected; importing disabled.
Permissions: Yes — folder selected; full read/write access.
Select Folder: Choose the folder for future imports/exports.
Import: Copies files from the selected folder into the game.
Reload: Restarts the game — useful after importing override files.
Once a folder is selected (USER_DIR):
All exports go to USER_DIR.
Importing copies USER_DIR files into the game’s internal files.
USER_DIR behaves like the PC Documents folder.
Examples:
Place saves in USER_DIR/save/ → they appear after Import.
Add portraits to USER_DIR/portraits/ → used after Import.
Important: The game never deletes or overwrites internal saves based on USER_DIR changes. Delete saves in‑game, not from USER_DIR.
CLEAR_IMPORTS Recovery
If imported mods cause crashes:
Add a file named CLEAR_IMPORTS (no extension) to the selected Data Folder.
Quit the game.
On next boot, all imported files (except saves) are removed.
The file is deleted automatically after the cleanup.
Fixed a bug that incorrectly modified permissions in: <root>/Android/data/<game> This previously prevented access via PC or file browsers.
Existing installations with incorrect permissions cannot be repaired. You must uninstall and reinstall the game.
Back up your saves first by exporting them to the user‑accessible directory.
Some devices may still restrict access to <root>/Android/data/. If needed, use the Marc apps & software “Files” app, or rely on the new import/export system via <root>/Documents/<game>.
