Friends! A completely new school of magic has arrived in Goblin Dungeons — Curses!
This is not just another way to deal damage, but a full-fledged combat style. Apply Cursed Mark to an enemy, build up stacks, and decide how to use them: slowly destroy your opponent, unleash a powerful burst, or turn the accumulated corruption into healing.
The update is available now! Thank you for your feedback, bug reports, and ideas — thanks to you, the game continues to grow with every patch.
At the heart of the new school is the Cursed Mark effect. It accumulates in stacks and deals damage for each one at the start of the turn.
The longer the mark remains on an enemy, the more dangerous it becomes.
Curses also interact with other mechanics:
A Curse breaks the current elemental synergy and applies Cursed Mark.
Poison and corruption reinforce each other: mark stacks accumulate through attacks, mist, rot, and reactive effects.
The Curse school includes 15 new spells. Build your spellbook around rapidly accumulating marks, gradually wearing down the enemy, unleashing a powerful burst, or surviving a prolonged battle.
Building Mark Stacks
Poison Arrow — deals damage and adds 1 Cursed Mark stack.
Toxic Strike — deals damage and adds 2 stacks.
Toxic Blast — deals damage and adds 3 stacks.
Cursed Rot — immediately applies 3 mark stacks.
Corrupting Touch — applies 1 stack for every Curse-school spell in your spellbook.
Gradual Corruption
Poisonous Decay — applies an effect that adds Cursed Mark when damage is taken.
Poison Mist — deals damage every turn and gradually accumulates mark stacks.
Vengeful Curse — surrounds you with Cursed Thorns: when you take damage, the enemy receives 3 mark stacks.
Condensed Corruption — causes Poisonous Smolder, which adds 3 stacks to the enemy at the end of the turn.
Controlling Corruption
Curse Burst — instantly activates Cursed Mark.
Cursed Mirror — doubles the number of stacks on the enemy. Can be used once per battle.
Toxic Conversion — removes a random negative effect from you and applies a mark to the enemy.
Toxic Decomposition — removes a random positive effect from the enemy and replaces it with Cursed Mark.
Corruption Absorption — removes the mark from the enemy and restores 2% of maximum health for every accumulated stack.
Sealed Mark — applies a special Curse-school effect to the enemy.
Create a spellbook for slowly wearing down your opponent, prepare one devastating burst, or mix Curses with fire, ice, blood, and lightning. Corruption will find a crack in the enemy’s defenses either way.
Each Curse-school spell in your spellbook increases the chance to additionally apply Cursed Mark by 10%.
The more curses you bring, the faster the mark takes hold of the enemy.
Apply Cursed Mark and continue building its stacks.
Use attacks, mist, rot, and reactive effects to strengthen the corruption.
At the right moment, double the number of stacks with Cursed Mirror or activate them instantly with Curse Burst.
If the battle drags on, absorb the accumulated corruption, restore your health, and return to the fight.
After a victory, you are now offered 5 spells to choose from. This provides more opportunities to develop your chosen build and reduces the impact of randomness.
Fixed an issue that allowed spells to be cast without spending mana by rapidly pressing keys 1 through 9 before the combat phase began.
The reset-to-default button has been removed from the settings menu during gameplay, as it could cause errors when changing the language.
Fixed an issue where the selected UI element was not cleared when opening single windows.
Goblins are used to fire, ice, and lightning. But they are not ready for slow, clinging corruption.
Descend into the dungeons and try the new school of magic! If you discover a bug or create a particularly deadly combination, be sure to tell us about it on Discord. We want to know how Curses perform in real runs.
Good luck in the depths! Your Loolust team
