Hello,
DemonCrawl v2.6.0 is now available on the Windows stable branch.
This update introduces special Hero Trial loadouts, 3 new items, 3 new boss mods, and the Kinetic stage mod.
We also overhauled our compilation processes - this patch serves as a test of the new tooling, so let us know if you encounter any problems in game.
Mac and Linux builds are expected to follow within 72 hours.

Hero Trial Loadouts
The daily Hero Trial now has a small chance to apply a special, hand-crafted item + mastery loadout. There are around 50 of these in the pool; some are good, some are bad, some are memes. They each try to follow a specific theme or idea.
You can submit ideas for new Hero Trial loadouts at the DemonCrawl Discord server. If we accept your idea, your user and loadout name will show up in the Hero Trial tooltip as credit.
Roadmap
We are working on a large content patch, as well as the Halloween and Christmas events. This will keep us busy for a while, but we will try to sprinkle in bug fixes and small updates when time permits. More exciting stuff to come!
New Features
- Hero Trials can now feature custom item and mastery loadouts
- New magic item: Price Gun - "[80 Mana] Reduce the price of target stranger by half."
- New passive item: Clapperboard - "When you open half of all empty cells, trigger items that would trigger when you enter or begin a stage."
- New passive item: Rat King - "The only omen you can find is Dead Rodent. Each Dead Rodent has a 20% chance to kill an attacking monster before you can take damage."
- New stage mod: Kinetic - "When the stage timer reaches the max stage power in minutes, double the max stage power."
- New boss mod: Impenetrable - "You cannot target cells in the same quadrant as the boss."
- New boss mod: Siphoning - "You lose mana opening cells in the same quadrant as the boss."
- New boss mod: Bloodthirsty - "After movement, kill a nearby visible living object and spawn a Dark Heart in its place."

- Updated GameMaker runtime to the latest version
- Updated Steamworks integration to the latest version
- Reworked sprites: Candelabra, Cooties, Fire Totem, Kunai, Lucky Bamboo, Tree of Life
- Moved changelog files to `docs/patch_notes/English`
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the Mastery Achieved popup showing the wrong mastery tier and mismatched heading colors
- Fixed the main menu music restarting shortly after startup
- Fixed slightly incorrect canvas dimensions for a number of item sprites
