Frog Up! has officially released here on Steam and we couldn't be prouder. Thank you to everyone who has, and continues to, support this passion project as it grows -- you're the best! Now, I'd like to tell you a little bit about how this game was developed, who we are, and where we're going in terms of updates to the game, and I hope you'll appreciate why I am so proud of what we've done, and what we're going to do.
First off, I'm Kraken! I'm the sole designer & developer of Frog Up!, which I intended to be the first "official" game release for my small but formidable DG_DEV team. Choosing Steam was a no-brainer, and I'm ecstatic to finally be published on my favorite gaming platform -- a dream come true!
Next, I definitely need to address the less-polished aspects of the game's design, as some players may notice that the game is a bit... sparse, and difficult to understand.
There's even a few really annoying bugs in the release version (like needing to restart the game to sync Frogbucks at Patches' shop, for example).
So, I've been working diligently to wrangle up those bugs and shoo them out of the code, added some more buttons and tooltips, and slashed the Frogbucks prices of items in the shop by up to 90%!
Among other small quality-of-life (QoL) changes to the game mechanics, these changes should make playing Frog Up! significantly more fun overall, based on initial feedback from some very gracious playtesters -- you know who you are, thank you so much!
The new version will include all of these features & fixes in the update! Please understand that some issues may persist through several versions, but I am working hard to make sure that they are all handled quickly so that you can enjoy this game without any troublesome bugs.
