Hello there.
My roadmap for last month went off without a hitch, and I even got some extra goals accomplished! There's three main features added with this update.
Ori's Story is expanded.
Steam Achievements have been added.
Graphics Presets have been added.
Ori's story now has a satisfying conclusion after 4 story events unlocked by spending time with her and befriending her. Each event unlocks a unique and useful new item to create for yourself, such as a catcher to gather aspects just form talking to people. Or... Well, you'll have to see what the mini-focus does yourself.
There's still more to be written, but that shall come after a couple other stories have reached their conclusion, and you understand someone else a little better.
In the mean time... I'm sure Ori is just fine. Don't worry about the crack in reality, or how dead her Focus looks now. That seems perfectly normal and isn't a sign of anything bad happening to anyone.
Steam Achievements have now been added! I had some in the demo, but I don't want to add achievements to the full game that might be removed later, so I was hesitant until I was sure I knew what I wanted for them. I've decided on achievements for entering each island, meeting each mage, finding each spell, and for a riddle that leads you to much more content.
All the achievements are currently obtainable, and more will be added as I add more to the game. One planned achievement is for solving all riddles in the game, but I don't want to add an achievement that I have to keep adding to as I go.
So... I am being very basic with graphics settings, because I'm not actually sure they help anything... I have done a lot of optimizations and cleanup to try to get this game to run on an old laptop, and I barely managed it. But changing the graphics settings never actually changed anything on that front. I also tested the framerate on my own computer and on another weaker computer, and the lowest graphical settings aren't any different from the highest setting. Except it looks much worse.
However, I'm really not an expert; there could very well be situations where it would help. And as a player, I do know that it feels nicer to have the option than not.
That said, just leave it at high.
