Portalborn — Workshop Fixes

Hello everyone!

A short one, entirely about the Portal Workshop.

THE DELETE BUTTON WASN'T THERE

If you tried to delete a custom item and couldn't find the button, it genuinely wasn't on your screen.

The item list at the bottom of the Equipment Forge was being squeezed down to zero height by the form above it. On a maximised 1080p window, the entire list was invisible and unclickable. The delete button existed, was laid out correctly, and was simply never actually drawn on the screen.

Fixed. The item list now keeps a minimum height at every window size. The monster list had the same problem at smaller resolutions, and the same change fixes that as well.

Thank you to player Smile for asking where the button was. The honest answer turned out to be "nowhere."

AUTHORED NAMES IN CONFIRMATION MESSAGES

This was the last place your own text was still being translated.

Saving an item called Ancient Item of Power could produce "已锻造新装备: Ancient 物品 / Power!" because the words "Item" and "of" inside your custom name were being replaced. Realm Splitter could similarly become "领域 Splitter."

This is now handled at the root, just like item and room names were fixed in the last update.

Every Workshop message that refers to something you've created now preserves its name exactly as you wrote it. This includes saving, importing, exporting, sharing, deleting, and enabling a custom class. The surrounding message still translates normally; your authored name does not.

RE-SAVING AN ITEM

Saving an item using a Unique Key that already exists replaces the existing item. This is currently how you edit custom equipment, since items don't yet have a dedicated edit button.

However, the confirmation message always said "Forged new equipment piece," even when you were updating something that already existed.

It now correctly tells you whether you've created a new item or updated an existing one.

Thank you all, as always.

In-game event14 Sep 2026Portalborn: Turn the TideHello everyone! This update is focused almost entirely on combat — how much damage you take, how long your abilities actually last, and how your skills interact with an enemy's turn. There are also a number of interface and reliability fixes along the way. This change list is quite a bit heavier than normal. Several changes required other systems to change with them, and things snowballed from…Community12 Sep 2026Portalborn Development UpdateHello everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates over the last few days. I’ve reached a point that a lot of developers eventually hit where I have to admit: “just fast enough” is no longer fast enough. As Portalborn has grown, it naturally takes more time to build, test, and verify changes. The biggest slowdown lately has been my automated Playwright test suite. Before I push builds live, those te…Game update9 Sep 2026Portalborn — Window ControlsHello everyone! The follow-up to the last update, as promised. 🪟 WINDOW CONTROLS ARE BACK Windowed mode now has its own control bar at the top of the game, with minimise, maximise and close buttons. It's built in the game's own style, so it follows whichever theme you're using — including custom ones from the Theme Workshop. ⭐ It only appears in windowed mode. ⚠️ Borderless and fullscreen stay…
