This update targets the game's most-reported pain points: livestock is finally profitable, inventory transfers now use drag and drop, and character control has been reworked from the ground up.
── LIVESTOCK ──
- Fixed feed-to-product balance. Previously each animal produced 1 product per 1 feed; since feed cost more than the product was worth, running a barn actually LOST money. Each feed now converts into 6-10 products depending on species.
Chicken 1 feed → 10 eggs
Pig 1 feed → 10 fertilizer
Sheep 1 feed → 8 wool
Goat 1 feed → 7 milk
Cow 1 feed → 6 milk
- Production times rebalanced: from 2 minutes (chicken) to 5 minutes (cow).
- Animal lifespan raised from 4-10 minutes to 2-4 hours. An animal now produces 40-60 batches over its life and comfortably pays back its purchase price.
- Feed prices rebalanced against product values. Milk value increased.
- Barn product capacity raised from 40 to 400.
- Animals now stand properly on the ground. An 18-24 cm gap between the barn floor and the terrain was leaving their feet buried in the floorboards.
- Maximum 6 animals per barn.
── STORAGE ──
- Capacity raised from 50 to 500. Each upgrade grants +500.
- MAJOR FIX: the storage panel only ever drew 18 slots — anything beyond that was invisible. It now has a 40-slot grid with page navigation.
- Panel redesigned: horizontal capacity bar with percentage and colour coding, no more overlapping text, aligned icons, thousands separators on all numbers.
- Items without an icon now show their initial instead of an empty square.
── DRAG AND DROP ──
- Storage, machine and market panels now support drag and drop. No more clicking one item at a time.
- The full stack moves by default. Hold Shift for half, Ctrl for a single item.
- If the destination can't accept the items they return to where they came from — nothing is ever lost.
- Click-to-transfer still works as before.
── CHARACTER CONTROL ──
- Fixed the "skating on ice" feel while walking. Animation playback is now locked to actual ground speed, so feet no longer slide.
- Movement speeds brought to realistic values, with acceleration and deceleration added.
- Fixed jumping. Misconfigured character controller settings were breaking the grounded check. Coyote time and jump buffering were also added, so inputs are no longer eaten on uneven terrain.
- Added distance-synced footsteps and a landing camera impact.
- Fixed getting stuck inside crops. Every plant had an invisible 2-metre collider around it.
── CROP VISUALS ──
- Fixed incorrect texture mapping on the growth stages of 9 crops: pepper, bell pepper, strawberry, wheat, carrot, tomato, corn, mushroom and eggplant. Leaves were rendering red or orange during the early stages.
- Wheat is now green while young and golden when mature.
- Mushrooms now render correctly (brown, red-spotted, blue-spotted).
── INTERFACE ──
- Brand new crosshair. It expands as you move, turns gold and tightens when aimed at something interactive, and pulses on tool swings. Outlined so it stays readable on bright ground.
- The old crosshair was blocking UI clicks at the centre of the screen. Fixed.
── PROGRESSION ──
- Maximum level lowered from 50 to 30 and the XP curve smoothed. The final level now costs around 10,000 XP instead of millions.
- Added a cash reward on every level up.
── SAVES ──
- MAJOR FIX: apiaries were not being saved. The apiary was missing from the buildable registry, so it disappeared entirely on load. Hives and honey now persist correctly.
