For both our development and publishing teams, seeing so many players support the game within just one week after launch has been an incredibly surprising and joyful experience.
To celebrate reaching 10,000 downloads, our game artist Zuo Biao specially created a commemorative illustration featuring the protagonists Watsonia and Holmlyn. We are happy to share this little celebration artwork with everyone!
We hope this small commemorative illustration can share our joy with all of you. We also hope that, together with everyone, we can continue witnessing more lively, interesting, and mysterious school life stories from Grade 5B!
Regarding the investigation and deduction experience that many players have been discussing, our developers have carefully discussed and reviewed this topic internally.
The game adopts a design approach centered around a “two-layer mystery” structure: players first solve relatively simple surface-level deductions from the perspective of an assistant, while the detective character further reveals the core mystery behind each case.
Therefore, the deduction experience in this game may differ from the traditional mystery games that some players originally expected. Based on everyone’s feedback, we have decided to further improve the guidance and sense of involvement during the deduction sections.
The game adopts a presentation style closer to a visual novel. Players will progress through the story by exploring locations, investigating clues, interacting with characters, and making choices.
Compared with games that focus on complex deduction systems or highly free-form gameplay, the gameplay elements of this title are relatively lighter. The core experience will continue to focus on the characters, the story, and the unfolding of various school incidents.
In future updates, we will continue improving the experience of investigation and deduction sections, strengthening players’ sense of participation throughout each case.
However, we also hope everyone understands that the overall design direction of the game will continue to focus on storytelling and character interactions.
We will soon release a relatively large update that will adjust parts of the first chapter experience, including improved deduction guidance, enhanced interactions, and better investigation instructions. Detailed changes will be shared in a future update announcement.
Some questions and mysteries left unanswered in the current story will also gradually be revealed in future chapters.
We will continue listening carefully to everyone’s feedback and work hard to make future stories and gameplay experiences even more enjoyable.
