Jack Bonecroft: What Comes Next?

Good evening, let's talk about the future of Jack Bonecroft.

I hope you enjoyed the game, even if there are still some bugs that may be discovered. So, what's next? When will the next part come out?

I'm happy to say that starting in August, I will begin working on the next part.

I can't reveal much yet, but what I can say from the technical side is that the graphics will be improved (as planned, each game in the series will look better and better or at least i will try), there will be more mechanics, and a bigger world for you to explore.

My goal is to finish it within one year. This game took me almost two years to create, but during that time I was also learning modeling, animation, coding, and everything else that goes into game development.

You could say it was a rough beginning, but after making the first game, I am much more experienced. My workflow should be much smoother this time because I know what I’m doing instead of learning everything during development.

The current plan is:

  • 6 months for modeling, preparing assets, and creating everything that is not directly related to programming.

  • 6 months for programming and implementing the systems.

Of course, this is only a plan, and things may change during development, but this is the overall direction.

If you are worried that I will abandon Jack Bonecroft 4 and focus only on the next game, rest assured that this is not the case. I will still be watching the discussion boards, and if you encounter any bugs or issues, my focus will shift back toward fixing Jack Bonecroft 4.

I hope you will try the next part when it comes out.

Vincere aut mori.

I hope you survive this day.

I also updated the minimum and recommended system requirements for the game. A quick reminder : if you have an older PC , I recommend checking the Performance Settings in-game. You can adjust several options there to help boost FPS and improve overall performance. I hope you survive today, and th…Game update11 Sep 2026Quick Fix in the Extra Content Folderquick fix :)Community29 Jul 2026Thank you for 100 wishlists.Thank you for 100 wishlists on the first game in this series! I hope you'll get the chance to play it soon—but there's no pressure. Everyone has their own right time. Honestly, even reaching 10 wishlists was a surprise to me. I never expected so many people to notice my game, let alone support it in this way. I'll continue doing my best to listen to the community and fix any bugs or issues you…
