Bobo and the Chest of Nightmares · published
Welcome to the Madness, everyone!
It has been an incredible, challenging, and rewarding journey building this game from the ground up, and today, I am absolutely thrilled to finally invite you to step into the oversized shoes of our favorite clumsy jester!
The official PC Demo for Bobo and the Chest of Nightmares is now LIVE on Steam!
If you grew up exploring the magical, secret-filled worlds of late '90s classics like Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot, or MediEvil, this game is a love letter crafted specifically for you.
This demo will give you a hands-on taste of the "Dreamy Halloween" aesthetic, testing your platforming skills and your eye for secrets! Here is what you can look forward to:
Master the Acrobatics: Get a feel for Bobo's fluid mobility. Chain together double-jumps, wall-slides, and your trusty umbrella glide to navigate the treacherous, vertical gothic realms.
True Collectathon Exploration: It wouldn't be a 90s-inspired platformer without shiny things to collect! Hunt down your first batch of spiritual shards of joy, uncover hidden paths, and track down rare Voodoo Dolls and Echomares!
As a solo developer, the community is my biggest asset. I have poured my heart into capturing that nostalgic 3D platformer magic, and I want to know exactly what you think. After you play, please drop by my Discord to share your thoughts, report any bugs, or just tell me about your favorite secret you found. Your feedback will directly help me polish the game as we head toward our full launch on October 30th, 2026.
Building a 3D platformer of this scale entirely from scratch in just a matter of months has been a wild, exhausting, and incredibly rewarding ride. If you enjoyed the demo, there are two massive ways you can support the project:
Share it with Streamers & YouTubers: Please recommend the demo to your favorite Twitch streamers, YouTubers, and content creators! Mention it in their chats, drop a link in their Discord servers, or tag them on social media. Word of mouth is a solo dev's absolute best friend, and getting the game in front of new eyes is the biggest hurdle I face right now.
Wishlist the Game: If you haven't already, please add the game to your Wishlist. It tells the Steam algorithm that players are excited, which helps the game reach a much wider audience on launch day.
Thank you so much for playing, for your continued support, and for helping me make this small indie Dark 3D Platformer. Now, grab your umbrella, stack up your DreamMasks, and leap into the madness!
Have fun!
