Last update, we introduced Storyboards: a bingo-boss-gauntlet of doom, strategy, and literary prowess! For some of you, the Torn may have had the last laugh - but we're here to give you a new tool to get the last word in: Monologue!
Interlude Patch: Rhetorical Questing introduces Monologue: a Spender that augments your Generator, a host of New Pages of Power (with some wild ones), and some tuning for Storyboards (and more)!
Everybody loves a good monologue and nothing beats a lengthy soliloquy... so if you feel like speaking aloud for a while, you should take a look at the ever-lengthening Vellum Roadmap in the main menu!
Why yes, it is! Monologue enters the Scribe repertoire as a unique, self-buff Generator-amping Spender Spell!
Deliver a Stirring Speech to augment your Generator's Damage and Attack Speed, while allowing it to use Signature Mana effects! Monologue gains potency over time, drains Mana every 2s, and prohibits Mana generation while active.
This spell sets up a unique opportunity for Generator Spells to take center stage and shine! We expect some truly wild performances and interactions with builds. Break a leg!
... And all the Scribes and Readers awesome Players! A tale as old as time: we've dropped new Pages of Power into this Interlude Patch! These two are just a taste of the inky power in store for your run-ins with the Torn!
Dry Spell: Gain 4 Varnish/s while your mana is empty.
... And Red All Over: Gain a 5% chance to apply Tether to all enemies when taking damage.

We're smashing bugs and tuning some balance (or balancing some tunes) in today's update. A long-standing jumping bug gets a new angle (so let us know if NPCs get stuck airborne - they should be grounded at appropriate times now).
RENDITION gets a light edit on some of his Normal mode lethality and Quip gets a solid buff! Fun fact: Quip (one of our oldest spells) started off as a wind-based spell called "Gust" before we decided Vellum's magic was ink-based!

NPC Pathing Fixes: Adjusted AI pathing behavior and added safeguards that should help the Inkling Brute and Torn Lizard in particular.
Unstuck button should no longer cause Scribes to glide on the ground.
