Dungeon Shifters · published · build 24357458

This update marks the biggest step forward for Dungeon Shifters so far. Over the last six months, we've redesigned dungeon exploration, introduced new enemies and a brand-new boss, and added a wide range of gameplay systems to expand the overall experience.
Alongside all this new content, we've also rebuilt several core systems behind the scenes to create a stronger foundation for future updates. This will allow us to introduce new characters, weapons, and gameplay mechanics much more efficiently as development continues.
Dungeon generation has been redesigned into a semi-procedural system built from handcrafted modules.
Maps now feature a wider variety of activities and challenges, including combat encounters, puzzle sections, traversal challenges, and lore-focused areas.
Random gold can now be found throughout the dungeon.
Added treasure chests containing randomized loot.
Added destructible environmental objects.
Added explosive objects and new environmental traps.
Collectible torches have been replaced by a player-mounted lantern that can be refilled by finding oil while exploring the dungeon.
The combat system has been rebuilt to provide a more scalable framework for future playable characters and abilities.
Improved combat target selection.
Improved AI for basic enemies.
Improved Altheron's combat behavior.
Added two new enemies:
Skeleton Thief

Added Vaelric, a new duelist-style boss who awaits players at the top of a tower.
The Hammer Warrior can now discover a new weapon while exploring the dungeon—if luck is on your side.
As part of the combat system overhaul, the Swordsman and Water Mage have been temporarily disabled while they are being updated to the new framework.
Added an inventory system.
Added a player statistics window.
Added a shop featuring consumable items.
Added a rhythm-based minigame used to purify the crystals obtained after defeating bosses.
