Demo Patch: Exporting Stability and Customise Saved Videos Drive

Hi everyone,

We've received a few reports of rare instances where the movie fails to render and you're left with a blank screen in the theatre. We've fixed a few ways for this to happen, but it was still popping up occasionally. We're very sorry for the frustration this caused.

We've since done a dive into the video renderer plugin's code, and I believe we've come up with a more reliable fix and are pushing an update to the demo now.

A huge thanks to Dave from Powerhoof for helping to investigate and suggesting a fix!

Additionally, some players were having the rendering fail due to restrictions on their C:/ drive that prevents the game from writing files to our default folder in C:/ProgramData/ActingOutGame. So we've also added the ability to select which drive the movies will save to. You can find it in the Options menu.

We're also investigating an issue where players' voices go high pitched like a chipmunk sometimes. It's funny but not intentional! Fixed one instance where it was happening, but will keep trying a definitive fix.

Thanks again for supporting our game and playing the demo! We hope your experience will be smoother from here on!

Please let us know if you run into any issues with the update.

With Love,

Winston and Jeff

A big thank you to Phantimon from the Discord for investigating the issue and helping us get it fixed! Additionally, we've added a visual for the microphone output volume so you can m…Community31 Jul 2026An Update on our Release PlansHey everyone, We’re here with a quick update about our release plans. Initially we wanted to do our Early Access release in July 2026, however we have decided to cook a bit longer so we can expand our feature set, amount of movie scenes and add in some of the some of the requests and ideas from the community. We’re hugely grateful for everybody’s interest in the game, their feedback from playin…In-game event23 Jul 2026Patch: Low Disk Space WarningHey all, We have just pushed an update that includes a pop-up warning if you are too low on disk space to record. This issue was sometimes causing videos to not render, resulting in Preparing forever or a black screen in the theatre. For now, we ask you set aside 2GB to give the game space for recording and rendering out movies. (Most movies require 0.3 - 1.0GB each, and are compressed afterwar…
