ATTENTION, RUNNERS
Trustwell Corporation confirms that the Wreck Runners Steam Next Fest Demo has now concluded.
To everyone who braved the Fog and entered the Triangle during Next Fest - Thank you.
Whether it was your first time, or you took part in previous playtests, thank you for sharing your experience and leaving your feedback.
Next Fest gave us a broader look at how players are finding Wreck Runners, and just as importantly, where the experience still needs work. We were really happy with the excitement around the co-op lobby antics and fun with the ORCA. At the same time, we recognize that enemy intensity and pacing in the demo didn't always create enough space to explore and prepare, so we've made a number of changes to improve the overall flow of combat.
Here's what we're doing to address this for launch:
• A more gradual progression in enemy numbers, variety, and intensity throughout each run.
• Changes to the pacing of the threat level timer, giving you more opportunities to explore, gather salvage, and prepare between enemy waves.
• Exploding enemies will no longer leap at players from behind.
• Flying Eyeballs no longer deal damage when picked up. Instead, they'll only shock you with their energy field.
• Birds that latch onto the ORCA are now much easier to spot.
• Improved enemy variety in the early stages of a run.
These are just some of the many improvements we've been making as we continue preparing for launch. Thanks again to everyone who's taken the time to play the demo and share their thoughts. Please keep it coming.
