Post-Launch Update - Single Match Unlocked

Thank you for sharing your initial thoughts, reviews, and detailed bug reports with us since the launch of Copa City. Having a live, active community means we have the direct player feedback needed to see exactly how the game lives up to the expectations. We are taking this feedback seriously and are immediately focusing our efforts on refining the experience and delivering a better game.

While we are excited to see players diving into the matchday logistics, we recognize that the initial onboarding experience has been bumpy for many of you. A large number of the technical issues and friction points reported were a direct result of players getting stuck or feeling lost without clear direction on what to do next. We are sorry for the frustration this caused, we are working on smoothing out the onboarding and the new update allows you to start a Single Match mode without finishing the tutorial in the Campaign mode. Our philosophy moving forward is straightforward: we are reading your reports, we are analyzing where the progression blocks occur, and we are getting straight to work to make the gameplay loops clearer and more intuitive.

Today's patch focuses on stabilization, fixing blockers, unlocking requested features, and cleaning up UI elements.

Looking ahead, a few players recently pitched a great idea to us, and we are already working on incorporating an option we codenamed 'Chairman Pass'. We are shaping it into something we think you will really enjoy, giving you more freedom to play exactly how you want. It will be coming in the near future, and we will share more details soon.

The complete list of fixes and changes included in today's update can be found below.

Patch Notes:

  • Single Match mode is now unlocked even when the Campaign tutorial is not finished.

  • UI/UX: Fixed missing illustrations and corrected placeholder text on Match Report.

  • UI/UX: Fixed incorrect atlas usage in notification assets.

  • UI/UX: Fixed UI card issues, back button functionality in card selection, and a bug causing a blocker during card selection.

  • UI/UX: Removed the feedback button from the main menu.

  • UI/UX: Updated main menu jersey assets.

  • UI/UX: Added new loading screens and updated the game credits.

  • Gameplay & Infrastructure: Fixed issues with broken district takeovers and the branding system.

  • Gameplay & Infrastructure: Corrected pavement categorization; pavements and generators have been moved back to the Business, Fun, Safety, and Catering categories.

  • Gameplay & Infrastructure: Disabled the Crowd Management Panel.

  • Gameplay & Infrastructure: Fixed saving functionality regarding card modifiers.

  • Campaign & Quests: Implemented various quest fixes, a fix for the district loss tutorial, and resolved the Maracana locker room issue.

  • Graphics & Assets: Added missing Bayern Munich banners across maps.

  • Graphics & Assets: Fixed Jumbotron display issues.

  • Audio: Fixed a bug where a clicking sound would continue to play while moving the camera.

  • Audio: Fixed voice-over assets.
