Can you believe it’s already been a month and a half since NUTMEG! kicked off? It’s been a joy to hear of your successes (and nearly moments), and the adrenaline of signing footballing legends to turn your minnows into world-beaters.
We’d like to bring you a scouting report on what’s coming up in NUTMEG! - as the game continues to improve and expand.
On Monday May 18th, we will release Patch 1.2. This patch, much like Patch 1.1, is heavily focused on bug fixes and some balancing tweaks.
While we won’t give all the fixes and changes away in this post, many of you will be overjoyed to hear we found the imposter Mark Hughes and gave him a stern talking to of taking the limelight. We’ve also made some changes to how a player’s performance drops off, making it a smoother downturn – after all, a player doesn’t forget how to play overnight!

Towards the end of the month, we’ll be releasing a special experimental version of NUTMEG! for one week. This version has two key changes we’d love to hear your feedback on; the ability to change your delegated XI via the Corkboard, and some changes to the difficulty of the game including a brand new ‘gaffer mode.’
Anyone who has purchased NUTMEG! will be able to take part on this one-week build. We will release the branch password and instructions on how to download this build in the Steam Discussions section, as well as Discord, so please look forward to it. All feedback is welcome, whether you’ve played half a season or multiple playthroughs.
Finally, in June, we will release a free content update. We don’t want to give the game away at this stage, but we’re sure you’ll have a cracking time with it. It is, in our opinion, an excellent addition that’ll be sure to give any save a knockout punch.
In celebration of a certain global event, we’ll also be releasing some special international scenarios, featuring footballing legends of yester-year!
