Hex Composer is on Steam, and the store page is now live. If you like making visuals, building weird patches, or getting lost in feedback loops, have a look and give us a wishlist.
Hex Composer is a real-time video synthesizer for video artists, VJs, and musicians. Build patches from oscillators, shapes, text, video sources, and effects, then play the controls and let sound move the image. No coding required.
A free demo is coming soon
The demo is currently awaiting Steam review. Once it’s available, everyone will be able to use all the editing features, with a watermark on exported videos. We’ll post another announcement when you can download it.
Make something and get a Steam key
We’re also preparing a community showcase for creations made with Hex Composer. We’ll give out free Steam keys to everyone who submits their own work that shows genuine effort. You don’t have to be a pro, we want to see what you come up with.
You’ll be able to participate using the free demo. We’re planning to watch the submissions together during a live Discord event. Submission details and the event date are coming soon.
