In this patch I'm trying to deepen the relationship between modules, liberties, and themselves. Hopefully building a fertile ground where emergent interactions can happen, so I've added 5 new abilities built around 3 new mechanics.
New Mechanics:
- "Accelerate": Reduces cooldowns of abilities
- "Cleave":Destroys all non-king pieces behind the capture
- "Dizzy": After moving. Move 1■ randomly
- Changes to trophy/capture based cooldowns. Any destroyed piece not consumed directly by an ability (read: Oblation) now split evenly between all trophy-based cooldowns. Hopefully this makes it easier to leverage Liberties like body guard when behind while opening the door to interesting synergies with Liberties like Sacrifice.
Added New Liberties:
- "Royal Writ": When you move your king, Accelerate Liberties
- "Redeploy": Return target friendly piece to its starting square
- "Battle Cry": "Target friendly piece gains this turn.
Added new Modules:
- "Keikaku" (trophy based): Accelerate Modules
- "Dazzle": "Target piece closest to Stockfish's king permanently gains dizzy"
Other Changes:
- Increased Roll's points cost to 6
- Decreased Sheer Cold's points cost to 5
- Leaderboards have been updated to reflect these changes
