Hello, dear players!

I am currently working on improvements to the UI and UX. Before making the new version available through Steam’s beta testing feature, I would really appreciate it if you could freely share your thoughts on the current draft—whether there are parts you would like to see improved or changed further, or if you still feel that the result is not satisfactory.

If the general response is that this direction is more positive than the previous one, I will finish the design in this direction, make it available through the beta testing feature, gather feedback, and then include it in the main game update.

The changes planned for version 1.05, which will first be available through beta testing, are as follows. (I will likely finalize and add these once I am confident that the response to the UI improvements is clearly positive.)

  1. I have removed the internal tab system from the existing UI. Instead, when you select a function from the left-side UI, the relevant information, actions, and numerical adjustments will all be displayed on the right-side UI in a size that fits within a single screen.

  2. I have added an encyclopedia feature, allowing players to easily look up brief explanations of characters, countries, political parties, various terms, historical background, gameplay routes, and other useful information.

  3. Fixes for various currently reported bugs, especially those related to national defense.

  4. Additional content and improved historical accuracy covering the process leading up to May 16 and the period of military rule.

  5. Important recurring content will be replaced with unique minigames or dedicated content.

  6. The influence of major world events will be expanded. Various global events, including the Sino-Soviet split, will now directly affect national management through dedicated content.

  7. Various additional content covering the years 1964–1972.

The following is a much larger change.

The planned extension of the game’s timeline to 1991, which was originally intended to be released as part of the 1.1 update alongside Kim Dae-jung content, will now be released earlier for the Park Chung-hee route specifically.

Centered around Kim Jong-pil, who was one of the strongest potential successors to Park Chung-hee, players will be able to continue playing as figures such as Lee Hu-rak and other powerful second-in-command figures.

And on the Yushin route... perhaps you may not have to give up power at all.

Therefore, while this extension will not be added immediately in the upcoming beta test update, you will soon be able to continue playing the game all the way through 1991.

To be honest, I felt quite discouraged after this update. I had put a lot of effort into redesigning the UI, only for the result to end up being close to the worst version we have had so far. It was even worse than the previous UI that had been made with AI. I am extremely grateful for all of your feedback regarding this. In particular, thanks to the honest and thoughtful c…
