Hi everyone!
Alessio here!

Big news: the Valmora demo is now live and completely free to play! No strings attached, anyone can jump in and explore Valmora for themselves, whether you've been following the project for a while or you're discovering it today.

This build brings a solid batch of improvements. We reworked the tutorial text for better clarity, and gave the UI a lot of attention, you should notice quite a few small but meaningful improvements as soon as you start playing.

On the content side, we added the Strap-On item, along with a brand-new Bandit Captain set, available for both male and female player characters.

We also updated the World Map and minimap, and fixed the minimap marker for Daren Holt so it now points where it should.

Combat should feel more consistent too: executions from behind while crouching now correctly grant EXP, and we rebalanced goblins, bandits, and the Bandit Captain across the board.

Character creation and saves got some real bug squashing this round. The name you set in the player creator now shows up correctly in dialogues, and we fixed a bug that mixed up genders when loading a save from a different gender playthrough.

We also went through the bandit quest line in detail: enemy kills are now tracked correctly in your savegame, the bandit camp gate no longer closes on you if the quest is already completed, and the roadblock now properly disappears during and after the quest. On top of that, we fixed the blacksmith's grindstone quest, which previously let you grab the grindstone without actually starting it.

Followers got some love too: Veyris, our succubus companion from the DLC, no longer gets stuck and refuses to follow you. We also improved the dialogue options for following, including a much requested Unfollow option, and smoothed out the bump/collision behavior with your follower, which should now work much better on stairs.

And last but not least: we changed the camera angle for the Demon Statue in the ruins.

Development doesn't stop here, we're already hard at work on what comes next for Valmora.

If you enjoy the demo, leaving a review here on Steam takes just a minute and really helps other people discover Valmora. We'd truly appreciate it!

Thank you as always for playing, for the feedback, and for being part of this journey with us. See you in Valmora!
