ENDLESS Legend 2 has had a lot going on recently, between a major update bringing new UI elements, more 2D art, quest reworks for a couple of factions, and further balance changes. ENDLESS Legend 2 has also seen some cool design discussions from AMPLITUDE Studios, including a post detailing their process for adding 2D art and, of course, June's State of the Game discussion. Update #29 - Retold Tales is the latest major update to come to ENDLESS Legend 2 and brings a host of improvements, redesigns, balance changes, and bug fixes. A new quest window was added in this update, making the quest storytelling smoother, richer, and more engaging in direct response to player feedback around the disparate experience after coming from ENDLESS Legend 1. This change was being worked towards in the shadows for months to improve this crucial part of ENDLESS Legend 2.
This update also brought more 2D art, which will be discussed more below, quest improvements to both the Kin of Sheredyn faction and the Necrophage faction, and improvements to the resource window, with three new additions: auto-selling of resources above max stock, bulk buy/sell, and an auto-renew booster. Update #30 followed this patch to continue problem solving, balancing, and squashing bugs that the previous patch uncovered. Some standout fixes include a fix to the Kin of Sheredyn main quest chapter three, which will no longer fail for no reason. This patch also brought fixes to skills and tooltips, many reported by the community. Make sure to check out the full list of fixes and changes here and see if you were thanked by the devs.
A very fun post was shared by the devs of ENDLESS Legend 2 early last month that detailed and discussed their process of adding more art content to their game. This post details the process all the way from inspiration to the final product, including some really cool details like the art team actually using 3D models to understand and create the 2D artwork seen in the game. The final bit of news we have to catch up on is, of course, the June 2026 state of the game discussion. As always, this post goes into a ton of different aspects that combine to inform the devs and the players what is being worked on, what needs work, and how these decisions are made. Some standout discussions surround plans for the game, such as faction-specific awakening quests so each faction experiences the events of the endgame through their own unique lens. Other discussions include a rework on simultaneous turns, more retroactive quests, and improved minor faction asymmetry.
