Thanks for waiting. The Hotel Carnivalia demo has been live since October 13 at 7:00 PM Steam time (PDT), which is October 14, 02:00 UTC. Download it from the store page and you can check in right away.
Getting started
Press Start Game on the title screen and you'll see three options.
- Create Lobby: Open a new room and share the lobby code with your friends. Up to 15 players can join a single room.
- Find Lobby: Pick a room from the list of open lobbies, or enter a lobby code a friend gave you.
- Quick Join: Jump straight into a public room with open seats.
New to the hotel? Learn the basics in the Tutorial on the title screen. You can also get a feel for the guns at the Shooting Range.
A day at the hotel
Every guest is secretly given a role. During the day, everyone gathers to discuss and votes to banish whoever seems suspicious. At night, you choose a room to visit and fight it out there in real time. The Prey win by banishing every hidden Predator, and the Predators win by killing all the Prey.
The demo lets you play all 26 roles across three factions: Predators, Prey, and Disruptors. You can read what each role does in our previous announcement.
Steam Next Fest schedule
We made this demo for Steam Next Fest. The festival runs from October 19 at 10:00 AM to October 26 at 10:00 AM Steam time (PDT), which is October 19, 17:00 UTC to October 26, 17:00 UTC. The demo is set to close when Next Fest ends.
