Happy Friday! Hope you're looking forward to a weekend of Governance updates. Let's start with our 3 new newest big features!
I'm happy to share the start of a unified UI theme within Governance. The game has taken on many, many
This will constantly evolve and improve across the next few weeks, but as a start we have implemented a slightly more skeumorphic style for the buttons and modals.
At its core however is an all new theming engine within Governance, allowing for custom themes - and yes, you can upload custom themes to the workshop today!
After many, many requests... polities now have flags! You can build your own flags in the polity editor with thousands of combinations. We have also added many of the UK county flags as well as part of the engine, and support for creating your own. The Flag asset format is built from the Avatar format, so you'll never guess what else also has Steam Workshop support...
We've added new highlights and information around selected constituencies. By default, when you select a constituency it will immediately show you ward level information, which is especially useful in Demo or Stats view!
Holding alt-click allows you to select more than one constituency at once too!
We've also been working on fixing as many bugs and issues mentioned in the forums. We've also improved the layout of party wiki pages, improved scaling on large displays, and have continued to optimise everything for lower-end machines.
We've also shipped a few improvements to dataset management in the editor, allowing you to easily add new Statistics and Indicators derived from census data with ease!
We hope you enjoy these new features and we can't wait to see what you do with them!
