Hello, Tower runners! We've decided to give our favorite Technomancer some love with this latest patch, but for Steam users, we've also implemented a long-needed fix to Cloud Saves. This change could "disappear" your saves though - please see the below patch notes for instructions to fix!
Would you like to get in touch? Head on over to the Steam community forums or find us on our Discord! Leave us feedback, suggestions, or report any problems you are having with the game. We will do our best to respond, but we promise we read everything sent our way whether we respond or not. Steam Cloud is now properly implemented.
A bug in our build process meant Steam Cloud saves were being saved in a different folder from what Steam Cloud was looking for. This has been fixed. However, this means anyone with a Tower Song save made since roughly late 2024 will not see them in-game, since Steam Cloud will be looking for them in your user profile directory.
To remediate this, we have provided an in-game migration tool on the title screen, called "Cloud Save Migration". Simply run this tool and elect to migrate your save file, and everything should work fine. (We'll save backups of everything for you, don't worry.)
We apologize for the inconvenience!
Ezoan's early spells gets a buff - and more.
Ezoan was always designed to be a trickier character who rewarded clever strategies and ingenious builds. However, we felt his Magic Missile was too much of a die-roll for the benefit it provided, and Scorch didn't quite pull its weight either. So both spells have been upgraded to give Ezoan a few more meaningful options in the early game as a spellcaster.
Gravity Well and Mana Well are now late-game mods as well, since this mod selection reinforces an archetype. We didn't want Ezoan players to feel forced into an archetype so early in the game and not have a chance to experience what the Technomancer/Exosuit juggling could do for them.
Let us know what you think of these changes!
