Tenebris: Terra Incognita · published
It’s been a hell of a long journey for us. The team came together full of enthusiasm but with no development experience, yet driven by a burning desire to create a good, challenging tactical game. It took us six years; our team grew from two to twelve people, having gone through all the trials and tribulations of development without a budget or investors.
From the very start, we didn’t want to take anyone else’s money, so the game isn’t exactly what you’d call expensive. It won’t blow you away with stunning graphics or cutting-edge technology. Knowing this, we focused on hooking players with the gameplay and tactical depth. And believe us, the game has plenty to surprise you with!
By our modest estimates, it’ll take around 60 hours to play through the story at a leisurely pace, though some players will spend over 100 hours. To keep the game from getting tedious, we’ve tried to make the hero classes varied and interesting, and we’ve divided the enemies into five distinct biomes. In Tenebris, you’ll face 17 bosses, each with their own mechanics, strengths and weaknesses.
If the game proves successful, we aim to develop it further, adding lots of new content. We’ll also start thinking about our next game.
We are very grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way, and we have one final request for you. For Steam, the key metrics are traffic and activity at the time of the game’s release, sales figures, discussions, community engagement, the time players spend in the game, and overall online activity.
Please support us – don’t just walk past; buy the game, give it as a gift to friends, tell your mates about it, and play the game in the first few days after release. All of this can give the game the much-needed boost that’s so important!
It’s been a challenging and exciting journey for us. But now it’s all down to you, our dear players!
