Qualifying Overhaul

Abstract

Qualifying has evolved from a mostly static preview into a complete live session, with active pit-wall control, traffic, changing track conditions and real-time timing.

Contents

Qualifying has received one of its biggest improvements so far.

Previously, the session was presented mainly as a static preview of the simulated result. It is now a fully interactive part of the race weekend.

You can follow every car on the circuit, manage both drivers independently, choose when to send or call back each car, adjust tyres and setup, react to changing weather, request a return to the garage, and pause or accelerate the session.

The circuit now develops throughout qualifying, with evolving weather, wetness, rubber, temperatures and drying-line conditions directly affecting sectors and lap times.

The live timing board updates throughout the session, showing positions, gaps and sector performance before presenting the final classification and starting grid.

The corrections identified during the test preview have also been included in this release.
