Hello everyone!
With today’s update, we are entering a brand-new era in the restaurant rankings. We’ve seen how much you enjoy the Steam Leaderboards and the friendly competition you’ve built with friends and players worldwide. To keep this excitement alive and the competition fresh, we’ve decided to reset the leaderboards periodically.
From now on, each period will have its own dedicated ranking. Here is the breakdown:
Season Tags: You will see your specific period listed on the far right of the leaderboard.
Period-Based Competition: If your save file belongs to Period 1, you will be ranked only among other players from that same period.
Fresh Starts: With the start of Period 2, any new save game you create will place you in the rankings exclusively with other Period 2 players.
Flexible Schedule: These ranking periods won’t follow a strict calendar; they will be updated based on the flow of the game and the state of the competition.
Don't worry, your past achievements aren't going anywhere! Under the "All-Time" tab, you can still view the overall rankings of everyone who has played since launch. This section will also display which period each score was achieved in.
To make the Leaderboard competition fairer and more enjoyable, we’ve also implemented a few balance changes to the Prestige System.
The leaderboard update is just the beginning... Next week, we’re releasing a massive content update to take your restaurant to the next level!
