Oorah!
Let me see your war faces!
It's time for the event you've all been waiting for: the final role vote! We want you, the community, to help us decide which role will be the next role to join Walk of Life! There are four candidates:
Beastmaster
Cultist
Gymrat
Wannabe
To vote, head on over to the announcements channel on our Discord and let us know which role you'd like to see as Walk of Life's next role! While we can't promise if and when the remaining roles will make it into the game, we will prioritize them based on popularity. Every vote counts!
We also have some outstanding community contributions to mention before we get to some mini patch notes.
Spearheaded by Dolphin, an incredible member of our community, the Walk of Life Wiki is live! We hope this community formed project will become a hub for all information Walk of Life related. Check out the wiki channel on the Discord if you wish to participate in this awesome project!
We also need to give a shoutout to the amazing normy who has put out another role guide, this time for the Mystic! If you are a competitive player and are looking to take your game to the next level, normy is the absolute goat of Walk of Life and we recommend checking out his Youtube Channel for advice from the best!
Finally, we have a mini patch to announce! Despite always trying their very best, our bots have long had a reputation of being pretty dumb! There have also been many complaints that they never step out of their comfort zone and always play the same roles. No more!
With today's update, our bots will become significantly smarter and should score way higher on average. Additionally, the bots should now also select the Drifter role in addition to the Workaholic, Shopaholic, and Senior.
Finally, we've reverted the Drifter nerf from the last update as it should never have made it into the game in the first place. Full patch notes below:
That's it! Go use your democratic right to vote on our Discord! If you haven't given us a Steam review yet, please consider doing so. Peace!
Bots have become significantly smarter and should net higher scores.
Bots now choose the Drifter in addition to Workaholic, Shopaholic and The Senior.
Last update's Drifter nerf reverted. The role no longer takes a penalty for working a job they have already completed.
Fixed: Using the Pawn Shop in an online game could spawn items on the wrong client.
Fixed: Shopaholic's coupon was ignored when the game charged you in Simultaneous Turns, so a discounted purchase was billed at full price and could fail outright.
Fixed: Quests that ask you to do something in a particular place could count another player's location in Simultaneous Turns.
Fixed: The Hacker's hack tracking could credit the wrong location in Simultaneous Turns.
Fixed: The Scavenger no longer mistakenly uses another player's location and that location's finds.
