Hello, Residents of Onsen Town!
Since the Playtest went live, we've added quite a few new things to Onsen Town based on your feedback and experiences.
From new minigames and side quests to requests, animal raising, and various quality-of-life improvements, we hope you'll discover something new every time you return to Onsen Town. Let's take a look at what's new in this update! 👇
Mayor's Requests
You can now accept requests from the notice board next to the Mayor's Office. Complete these tasks to earn rewards and learn more about what's happening in Onsen Town each day.
Farm Management Overview
You can now get a clearer overview of your crops, livestock, and water quality, making it easier to manage Windmill Farm.
Paddy Field Farming & Water Quality Maintenance
A new area is now open at Windmill Farm! You can now grow rice in the paddy fields, but remember to maintain the water quality before planting.
Crab & Tagalong Duck Raising
Head to Kamogawa and visit the supermarket to buy crab seedlings and tagalong ducklings. You can raise them at Windmill Farm and collect duck down, duck meat, crab shells, and crab meat once they're fully grown. These resources may come in handy for future production chains.
Ayumi's Flower Gathering & Perfume Alchemy
You can now gather flowers and make perfume with Ayumi while experiencing her special side quest.
Kamogawa Accommodation & Supermarket
When working part-time in Kamogawa, the mayor can now choose to stay at local accommodations or visit the supermarket to buy the items he needs.
Livestreaming & Visitor System
The main story has a new development: livestreaming! As the livestreams begin, more visitors will start coming to Onsen Town, gradually making the town livelier.
Insight Tree
Oba-chan seems to have given Kyoko a very special tree. Plant the Insight Tree and see what happens.
World Map Fast Travel
Fast Travel is now available on the world map, making it easier to travel between different locations and spend less time on the road. We'd also love to hear what you think about this feature!
Night Market Lottery
A new lottery feature has been added to the Demo! Points earned from minigames such as the shooting game at the night market will automatically be stored in your backpack. You can then visit the exchange booth to redeem them for prizes.
UI & Guidance Improvements
Adjusted the layout and display of several UI elements and improved gameplay guidance.
Automatic Obstacle Avoidance
When you encounter obstacles such as buildings while moving, your character will automatically avoid them, while the camera will stay focused on your character to help prevent model clipping.
Kamogawa Train & Platform Improvements
Adjusted the presentation of the Kamogawa train and platform to prevent trains from overlapping.
Currency Display Improvements
Adjusted how currency amounts are displayed in-game, making it easier to see increases and decreases and keep track of your savings.
Music Minigame Improvements
Improved the progress display for the music minigame and shortened the music tracks to reduce the overall difficulty. We also fixed an issue where holding down a key could cause the same note to repeatedly pass the judgment check.
