What started as a fast-paced fight against endless waves is becoming a deeper co-op horde shooter, with more ways to build your character, adapt your strategy, and survive as the Horde grows stronger.
During each match, you’ll earn resources and spend them at Citadels to purchase and upgrade weapons, unlock active and passive abilities, and improve your gear.
Every run gives you more ways to shape your build and prepare for the increasingly dangerous waves ahead.
The arsenal has expanded far beyond conventional firearms.
Fight with everything from assault rifles to explosive laser cannons and specialized weapons capable of launching acid pools into groups of enemies.
You’ll also have access to tactical gadgets such as:
Follow-drones providing automated covering fire
Protective shields
Phase-shift devices that let you move through enemies unharmed
Automated turrets for defending key positions
Weapons and equipment can also be upgraded through multiple rarity tiers, from common all the way to legendary.
The Horde is no longer made up of a single type of threat.
You’ll encounter armored zombies, explosive runners, poisonous enemies, creatures firing corrosive projectiles, and support enemies capable of generating shields for the Horde around them.
Periodic boss battles push the fight even further, accompanied by dedicated soundtracks.
Defeating enemies now contributes to a persistent Level & XP system.
Level up your character, unlock new character skins, chase higher wave records, and compete through dedicated leaderboards tracking:
Highest wave survived
Most zombies killed
Highest player level
Fight alone or join a squad of up to three players.
Switch freely between first-person and third-person views during gameplay, dodge and reposition as the battlefield becomes more chaotic, and use environmental traps to eliminate entire groups of enemies.
And if no public lobby is available, you won’t have to wait: AI-assisted lobbies allow a match to start immediately with an AI teammate. Other players can join while the match is running, with the AI automatically making room as the squad fills.
