Hey everyone,
Welcome to the Steam page for NODE: PROTOCOL! Whether you found the game through random tags or you've been following development for a bit, I’m incredibly glad you're here.
I wanted to open up the roadmap today and talk about exactly what’s happening over the next few weeks. If you love deep, authentic hacking sims, command-line terminal pipelines, and messing around with hardware limits, here is our game plan leading up to launch:
This is our first big public test! I’m releasing a massive, fully playable demo during Next Fest.
Full Cross-Platform Support: The demo will run natively on Windows, macOS, and Linux. I'm also putting a lot of love into making sure it runs flawlessly out-of-the-box on the Steam Deck.
What you’ll be doing: You'll get to play the core loop—breaching servers, laundering crypto (BTC), managing your rig's thermal limits so it doesn't overheat mid-hack, and trying your best to evade traces.
Shortly after Next Fest ends, the game officially enters Early Access.
The Full Sandbox Unlocks: This is where the massive stuff drops. up to 4-player co-op, competitive multiplayer Wargames (CTF), 26 highly replayable mission types, 95+ terminal commands, and 15 safehouses you can buy up.
Building it together: I plan to stay in Early Access for about 3 to 6 months. A technical game like this needs real-world stress testing, and I want to work directly with you guys to balance the economy and add crazy new kernel-level exploits.
I am also super excited to share that we have partnered with cyber.info for education purposes. The community can use the game to get experience in real world tools in a sandbox way.
We are actively gathering and working with the cyber.info team to share the game directly within the tech and security communities. Every failure leaves a footprint, and every success takes actual logic, making it the perfect training ground.
Watch out for there livestreams ;)
Wishlist and Follow the page: It sounds simple, but it helps the Steam algorithm massively, and it ensures you get a ping the second the demo drops on October 19.
