Five new languages, shark sliders, a dozen bug fixes

Tidewrack now speaks fourteen languages instead of nine: Polish, Turkish, Thai, Ukrainian and Traditional Chinese have been added.

Sharks are now adjustable

Under Options, Sharks: three sliders for time between attacks, attack speed and bite strength. 100% is exactly today's behavior, not a percent more or less. Turn it down for a calmer game, turn it up for more pressure. There's also a visible attack marker now: when a shark bites into a plank, you can see exactly which one.

Islands are actually worth exploring now

Every island carries around forty pickups, plus a supply crate hidden behind the rock ridge, and every third island has a guarded treasure chest. All of that has been in the game for weeks, it just got deleted before you ever arrived. Fixed, the loot stays put now. Drifting materials also no longer swim straight through islands, they glide along the coast instead.

Options menu reorganized

Instead of one long list, six tabs now: Language, Audio, Controls, Sharks, Display, Graphics. A controls overview has been added. Switching languages no longer shifts anything on screen.

And a good dozen smaller fixes

  • The pause menu kept showing the old language after a language switch. Fixed, the death screen had the same bug.

  • Your character was too wide to fit between your own builds, and the jump was too low to clear a storage chest. Both corrected.

  • Climbing back onto the raft near a blocked spot could pull you under the deck. Fixed.

  • Tools generally couldn't be discarded, even with a full backpack and full storage. That works now, except for the very last piece of a tool type.

  • The "Backpack and storage full" message didn't say what to do about it. Now it does.

  • The taskbar icon sometimes showed the generic Windows icon instead of the game icon. Fixed.

  • Circling gulls over a fish swarm showed hard white patches on the water. Not a shadow bug, a foam effect with edges cut too sharp. Now soft.

  • The "Land in sight" message always showed the location's name in German, no matter which language was set. Fixed.

Thanks to everyone who reported these.
