It's been (a little more than) a month since our reveal and the response has been mind-blowing. We knew all of us on the Lurker team were excited by an eldritch dismemberment + cooking game, but to see over 100,000 of you feel the same way and wishlist the game in just the first month has exceeded all expectations. You are all awesome and clearly have great taste in games.
With the reveal behind us, we figured it was time to get into a somewhat regular cadence of providing updates on some of what we've been doing. While there's much more than this that's been done over the last month, we figured these would be some fun highlights to share.
Remember, Elderfeast is still early in development and everything you see below is a work in progress!
We've made a ton of progress establishing the Order of the Void Eater's enclave, which will act as a hub world between expeditions. Here's a sneak peak at some of the bizarre characters you'll meet and work alongside!
Crabby. A grizzled veteran lending you his ship for transport to and from your expeditions.
The Oracle. Their mysterious connection to the cosmos is needed to navigate the eldritch dangers of the Maelstrom. They also have a cool hat.
The Arcanist. Their knowledge of spice and unconventional cuisine will be critical in growing stronger after each trip you take into the Maelstrom.
When you're done chatting with them, head to the docks to embark on your expedition!
A toxic offspring of the Deep One, the Spitter is our first ranged enemy. While its delectable tail may be difficult to hit, parrying its projectile back at it provides a brief window to harvest the valuable ingredient!
The Springer was having some difficulties closing the gap on evasive chefs, so we gave it a leap attack!
No good cooking expedition would be complete without a high-intensity escape back to your ship before eldritch tentacles tear you limb-from-limb, or a tear in space-time erases you from existence.
That's all for now, but there's plenty more to come! If you want to let us know what you think, join our Discord and chat with us directly.
Thanks chefs!
