🆕 New Features
• Added a Wanderer unlock system: discover Wanderer clues and fulfill their requirements to unlock new Wanderers and have them join your team.
• Added an exclusive equipment system: each Wanderer has unique exclusive equipment that can be found while exploring the Backrooms. Once equipped, they can be upgraded via clue requirements, and the upgraded effects are permanently enhanced.
• Added a Legacy Equipment system: after each expedition, 3 random pieces of equipment from that run are retained; you can choose one as your starting equipment for the next expedition.
• Added an Expedition Summary screen where you can review complete expedition data, including weapons, equipment, statistics, upgrades/unlocks, and the next expedition’s starting equipment.
• Added a death animation upon expedition failure, greatly enhancing immersion.
• Added an Ending system (initial version): when an ending is reached, a story animation and ending description will play.
• Added a large number of new sound effects, including various door, lighting, and skill sounds.
• Added original main menu music and Level-11 background music.
• Added 50 new rooms; room difficulty will gradually increase during your first playthrough.
• Added Steam Cloud Save support (note: Playtest version saves are not shared with the full release).
⚡ Improvements
• Optimized the overly low music volume on Level-188.
• Reduced exclusive equipment choices when scavenging from "Wanderer's Remains" from 3 to 2, and extensively adjusted equipment effects.
• Added a confirmation prompt when returning to the main menu.
• Added a “Return to Lobby” option in the pause menu.
• When a continue save exists, clicking “New Game” now asks for confirmation; confirming will automatically settle all rewards from the previous battle.
• Slightly reduced Chain Lightning’s link range.
• Slightly increased the chance of good items appearing in the stomach room.
• Redesigned the loading screen and added a loading animation.
• After returning to the lobby, the Wanderer used in the last expedition is now selected by default.
• Significantly increased grenade flight speed and damage.
• Optimized the base scene style of Level-Fun, Level-11, and Level-188 for improved visual clarity.
• Optimized lighting effects in a number of rooms.
• Icicle adjustments: icicles now only spawn on the first wall impact (cannot be generated from wall bounces), duration changed to 5 seconds, and icicles on walls are unaffected by external forces.
🐛 Bug Fixes
• Fixed an issue where bullets with wall bounce would only bounce once.
• Fixed a bug where Harley’s heart bomb would still consume hearts on the ground even when full.
• Fixed a bug where the Third Eye and Tentacle did not display connection lines in the Weapon Factory.
• Fixed a bug where Rick, after equipping exclusive equipment, could not spit out burst hearts and golden hearts with Robot Heart Steel.
• Fixed a bug where spider silk had no fire effect after being burned.
• Fixed a bug where the three forms of the Level-94 boss "King" were difficult to hit.
• Fixed a bug where pressing ESC during story mode caused the cursor to disappear.
• Fixed a bug where item tooltip titles could overflow their boundaries in multilingual environments; text now auto-scales when exceeding the display area.
• Fixed a multiplayer bug where client characters continuously moving straight down against a wall or using displacement effects would jitter or completely disappear.
• Fixed a series of issues with the Party Host ending: players now become invincible after defeating the boss, and story animation characters are not damaged by players during the sequence.
• Fixed a bug where wearing snake tail or spider legs caused movement issues in certain terrain due to increased character height.
• Fixed an issue where duplicated coins or grenades could drop onto elevated areas and become difficult to pick up.
