Thank you so much for checking in! We just wanted to give you a quick update on how things are progressing with the development of Kill Your Darlings.
Our original plan was to release a small version of the game at some point in 2026 and then crowdfund additional content via Kickstarter. However, thanks to the game's recent popularity in the Steam Party-based RPG Fest (a huge thank you to everybody who wishlisted the game!), we decided to commit to making the game bigger and better for its initial release.
However, we still want you to get your hands on the game asap!
Which is why we have decided to release a Playtest on November 17th. If you haven’t done so yet, make sure to click the “Join the Kill Your Darlings Playtest” button on the game’s Steam page to be notified.

The planned crowdfunding campaign is also still happening and we would greatly appreciate your support to make the game as cool as it can be!

Our current plan is to release the game on Steam in the first half of 2027.
