EARLY ACCESS Roadmap

G-Rebels · published 28 Jul 2026, 19:38 UTC

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

After a turbulent but successful Early Access launch, we'd like to thank you for your encouraging reviews and constructive feedback. Today, we're also sharing our roadmap here in the News section.

The roadmap will continue to evolve and will be expanded with individual patch announcements. Smaller roadmap changes and regular progress updates will continue to be posted in the Steam Discussions, as before.

Block 1 – Technical Focus (approx. 4–6 weeks)

The first development block is dedicated entirely to technical improvements: stability, UI ergonomics, input systems, and especially VR. Much of this work is driven directly by your Early Access feedback.

VR – Stability, Performance & Compatibility

VR was a highly requested feature from the community. And to be honest, we hesitated at first. Not because we didn’t love the idea, but because we had a lot of respect for the sheer complexity behind it. But your enthusiasm was contagious, and we simply had to say yes, because we also believe in the excitement of experiencing the world of G‑Rebels in the most immersive way possible. That vision is just too exciting to ignore.
However, the variety of headsets, GPUs, and upscaling technologies (DLSS, FSR, XeSS) creates a complex mix of potential issues.
Thanks to your reports, we can now address these systematically.
Give us a little time as we improve the VR experience significantly and reliably.

General Stability

Some players are experiencing crashes, both in VR and on flat displays.
We’re investigating these issues in detail and aim to push stability to the highest possible level.
Nothing is more immersion breaking than a CTD. Eliminating them is a top priority.

Controls & Joystick Support

We’re passionate about advanced input hardware ourselves. Through RawInput, G‑Rebels already supports a wide range of joysticks, pedals, and flight‑sim peripherals.
Still, individual setups can behave differently. We will work through every case with you to ensure that your configuration works and that by Full Release, new players can enjoy a smooth onboarding with their hardware.

UI & Menu Ergonomics

Several of you requested improvements to menu navigation and overall UI ergonomics.
This area will also receive focused attention while working on this block.
Specific lists of upcoming fixes and modifications will be included in each patch announcement.

Block 2 – Expanding the World (approx. 20–30 weeks)

Once the current foundation feels solid enough, we’ll return to what excites all of us the most: content.

New Features & More Missions

Fresh mission types, new gameplay systems, expanded story beats. All of this is coming.
Many of these areas already exist physically in the world, waiting to be opened.

New Sectors & Cities

You’ve already seen glimpses of places like Eden from afar.
Entire cities and regions are built and waiting behind the curtain.
We’ll open them gradually, letting the world grow around you.

Procedural Mission Givers

For those who love exploring the world after the main content, we’re adding procedural mission givers to keep the game alive and dynamic.
And yes, cosy delivery‑style mission givers are coming too, for those who enjoy calmer moments in the city.

Ongoing Technical Improvements

Even during content development, we’ll continue refining the tech.
But we expect the biggest hurdles to be cleared during block 1.Thank You. Truly.

G‑Rebels exists because of you. Your passion for this project motivates us, and your patience gives us the space to build something meaningful.
