Demo Update
Thanks for playing the Checkate demo and for all the bug reports! This update fixes the following issues:
Gameplay
- Knight movement: The Knight's L-move could land him on a black square, where he could neither capture nor be captured, making him useless for the rest of the match. The Knight can now only move onto white squares.
Pack Selection
- Fixed an issue where opening one pack and then clicking another caused both packs to get stuck in the middle of the screen. Packs could not be cancelled, and the top pack blocked the one underneath.
Discord
- Updated the Discord invite link. The old link showed "invite invalid".
- Fixed the Discord button not responding after returning to the main menu from a finished match.
New: Match Statistics
- After a match, you can now see detailed stats about your run: the chosen difficulty, time spent, items you had, all pieces you obtained, captures, double captures, pieces lost and money spent.
Something else...
Rumor has it there's a little secret hidden somewhere in the demo. Can you find it? 👀
