Kindling 1.2 is out now. There is more to remember, more to discover, and more waiting for you when you return to the forest.
What killed you shapes the warning you leave behind. Return to the chamber and find a warning in your own handwriting, then keep it to read again. Forty to recover. Some lessons are written in ash.
A new opening film shows what happened before your first descent. It plays the first time you take a new witch into the forest, and you can skip it.
Your first deaths now give you more to work with. You will always return to the chamber able to afford something, and the mushrooms have a shorter journey ahead of them. A little more room to find your feet in the dark.
Keep your current witch and start another alongside her. Three save slots let you follow separate stories, with the option to reset each from the main menu.
Deeper in, the storm leaves its mark on the ground. Ash gathers at the portals, flowers change after the seals break, and something has been spinning across the paths. You may find still water with a story standing in it.
Kindling now speaks Korean, Polish and Traditional Chinese. The existing translations have also had a fresh pass, guided by the witch’s voice and the world she remembers.
Visual polish, performance improvements and bug fixes round out the update.
Thank you for playing. There is more waiting in the forest.
