Hey everyone,

First, we want to say thank you for continuing to share your feedback with us. We’ve heard your frustrations around a number of issues, and Team Metal is continuing to work through fixes and improvements based on what you’re reporting.

We’ve also noticed that some things being reported as bugs are actually game systems that we recognise aren't currently explained clearly enough in-game. That's on us to communicate better, and the team is looking at ways to make some of these systems clearer in future updates.

In the meantime, we wanted to share a couple of resources that may help.

Why can't I change my Loadout between missions?

If you've returned to Sanctus Clypeus and the Loadout Station is unavailable or appears above you, you're still in an active run.

A full run consists of three missions followed by a World Boss. Returning to Sanctus Clypeus between those missions doesn't end your run, so the Loadout Station remains unavailable until you either complete the full run or die.

Why has my purified gear changed rarity?

We've also seen some confusion around Purification, gear rarity and upgrading equipment with Gajov.

The most important thing to know is:

Purifying an item permanently unlocks that item at Common quality, regardless of the quality you found it at.

So if you find and purify a Rare item, for example, you shouldn't expect to see a permanently unlocked Rare version in your Collection. The item itself has been unlocked, but its permanent version begins at Common quality.

You can then upgrade that item through Gajov, which permanently increases its minimum quality everywhere. If you upgrade a weapon to Uncommon, for example, that weapon will only appear at Uncommon quality or higher in future runs - whether you select it from your Loadout or find another one as loot from enemies or chests.

We know some of these systems could be communicated much more clearly within the game itself, and the team is working on improvements to help with that.

For now, we hope these resources clear up some of the confusion, and please keep sharing your feedback with us. It's helping us understand not only where there are bugs to fix, but also where we need to do a better job of explaining how Crimson Moon's systems work.

— Team Metal
