Hello everyone! 👋
Welcome to the first development update for Camping Resort Simulator.
We’ve been working on the game for quite some time, and from now on we want to start sharing more of that process here on Steam: new features, visual improvements, guest behaviour, new buildings and some of the smaller details that gradually make the resort feel more alive.
At its core, Camping Resort Simulator is about creating your own holiday destination.
You’ll start with a camping area and gradually shape it into the kind of resort you want to run: placing accommodation, building services, creating leisure areas, improving the surroundings and trying to give your guests a place they actually enjoy spending time in.
But building the resort is only one part of it.
A big part of our current development work is focused on making the people inside the resort feel like they are really using the place you have created.
One of the latest areas we have been working on is the way guests interact with relaxation spaces.
Instead of simply walking near an object or instantly triggering an action, we want these little moments to feel more natural.
Guests can now approach the sunbeds, sit down, lie back and spend some time relaxing before getting up and continuing with their day.
It may sound like a small feature, but these interactions are important to the experience we want to create.
When you build a pool area, a terrace or a quiet corner surrounded by plants, we want you to actually see guests using those spaces.
A resort should not feel like a collection of buildings and statistics.
It should feel like a place.
We’re applying the same philosophy across the game.
Vegetation, paths, accommodation, leisure areas, lighting and guest behaviour all contribute to the personality of each part of the resort.
Some areas might become busy family spaces.
Others might be quiet glamping corners.
You might create a large central pool area, or smaller relaxation spaces scattered between accommodation.
The goal is to give players enough freedom to create resorts that feel different from one another, while making sure the simulation reacts to those decisions.
Here’s a short look at the new sunbed interaction currently working in-game:
We’re continuing to refine the animations, guest behaviour and interactions around the resort, alongside the management and building systems that form the core of the game.
This is only the first of many development updates we plan to share here.
In future posts, we’ll show more of the resort, its guests, new facilities and some of the systems working behind the scenes.
Thank you for following Camping Resort Simulator and for being here this early in development. 💚
More soon! 🌴🏕️
