Today we are launching our first patch for Slayblade! This small patch aims to fix the most pressing issues identified by players.
We also want to chat about our future plans for the game. We are very grateful to see the enthusiasm of everyone about the game, it has been a big week for us. Having said that, we acknowledge that many players have some issues with the state of the game at launch.
We are committed to updating the game to provide new content for everyone and hopefully address some of the concerns that have been raised.
The main issues and our plans for each are as follows:
The vast majority of feedback we have received is from players who are not happy with the amount of content in the full game as compared with the demo. We understand your frustration and in future updates we will work to make sure that you have gotten your money's worth with the full game.
We have a few ideas about how we will address this and we will let you know specifics once we have tested a few different ideas and decided on the best path forward.
Being a roguelike, we want to improve the variety of each run and give players a different way of approaching the game each time. We hope to improve the experience of completing the episodes and experiment with new modes that bring you back to the game.
We have had some useful feedback that certain builds/parts are currently dominating the meta, in today's patch we have labelled these parts as "Rare", meaning that they will show up less frequently in the Shop and Gacha.
This is only the first step in us addressing balance issues - in the future we will complete a full balance pass on the existing parts. We would liked to have included this in included this in today's patch but it will require a full test pass on all the Episodes to ensure that they are all still achievable.
Added "Rare" tag to some parts to have them show up less frequently in the Shop and Gacha to balance out overpowered builds
Improved Autobattle AI to prevent it from endlessly circling the opponent.
Fixed crashes caused by Aura parts.
Fixed "Collect 4" Achievement counting opponent power cubes.
Fixed crash caused by too many gold/exp objects post-battle.
Fixed localization rendering issues.
