Balance: Umbilical Wake · published

Hey, Em here.
First of all, thank you to everyone who has shown interest in Balance: Umbilical Wake. It really means a lot to me.
For a long time, I felt like I wasn’t ready to show the game publicly. I’m not sure that feeling has fully gone away, but I feel ready enough now. There’s still a lot more to come, and I’m both excited and stressed about it.
Honestly, this project is a very personal one for me. It started from my love for a short film I saw as a child, something that stayed in my mind for years, and slowly became a game shaped by thoughts I kept returning to. I worked on it through some of the most difficult days of my life, and for a long time it was the one thing that gave me some relief.
It feels strange and special to think that, when it is finally released, all these thoughts and moments will leave me as a game and move toward you.
I’m doing my best to make a demo available as soon as possible, so you can finally get your hands on it and tell me what you think. Until then, every wishlist helps a lot.
I’d also love to stay connected and interact more:
Take care,
Em
