2026 has been a blur, but its time we came back to tell you about everything that has happened in the last 9 months, what's happening right now, and most importantly, what's to come! As we inch closer and closer to the launch of years of work, we've hit an important milestone (as you might have noticed, oops):
We want to thank every single one of you who supported us by play-testing Rebel Roar, as your feedback was (and still is) key to get our game to this point. Now that our demo is out there, we hope you can see the ways in which the game has changed, in our opinion, for the better!
If you haven't tried it yet, we encourage you to check it out. We think it's pretty beefy content wise, as it contains:
4 different regions/areas to play through.
3 bosses to defeat.
6 different rebels to unlock and play with (you get to play with TWO at the same time, if you live long enough to rescue a second rebel).
A myriad of different enemies, elite encounters, and customization options that will give you a taste of what the full experience is like.
We're still gathering feedback that will help us further refine and tune the game, so we'd really appreciate it if you gave our demo a shot.
As you know, we have a Discord server where we often discuss what we're working on, and we get to talk directly to players about changes that we're making, but we've also started a new place to gather our rebels, our very own…
We've been trying out some new options for connecting with our community, and we think a subreddit will be a really cool way to keep in touch with you all, but also reach new players who might be interested in checking our game out! If you're a Redditor, join our subreddit now!
We're focused on two fronts right now. Firstly, our dev team is full steam ahead on the development of what's to come, including new rebels, new enemies, the rest of our fighting-style animal decks (you might get to see one of them on the next devlog 👀), new classes, and the rest of our regions.
On the other hand, now that our demo is out and many things have been fully designed, we've started focusing part of the team on spreading our demo around, and building up our community a little more (that's me!), so we'll be posting weekly updates here, and putting out a lot more sneak-peeks on discord and our subreddit.
See you next week!
