This update focuses on Type Royale multiplayer stability and a complete overhaul of score tracking.
Multiplayer Improvements
- Fixed crashes and connection problems when players join Type Royale matches.
- Improved lobby synchronization and player registration.
- Added safer handling for players joining, leaving, reconnecting, or disconnecting unexpectedly.
- Improved stability during larger multiplayer sessions.
- Matches now resolve correctly when all human players have been eliminated.
Steam Leaderboard Overhaul
- Steam leaderboards are now the primary leaderboard system.
- Removed visible local leaderboards.
- Added separate Global and Friends leaderboards.
- Keyboard and controller records remain separated for fair competition.
- Scores now upload when playing:
- Online multiplayer
- Solo
- Against bots
- Both completed and failed attempts are recorded.
- Results clearly display FINISHED or BLOWN UP.
- Lower-scoring runs are still submitted while Steam preserves your personal best.
- Added a durable upload queue so scores can retry if Steam is temporarily unavailable.
Ashlee Voice Fixes
- Restored Ashlee’s Type Royale callouts.
- Verified the complete 25-line Ashlee voice pack is included in the build.
- Improved voice playback reliability across solo and multiplayer modes.
Additional Fixes
- Improved cleanup when leaving multiplayer lobbies.
- Added stronger protection against stale Steam lobby events.
- Improved packaged-build validation and runtime asset checks.
- General stability and reliability improvements.
