AGNOLIA REJECTS RUMBURGIAN CLAIMS REGARDING THE BATTLE OF ODREJK
The Republic of Agnolia categorically rejects the claims issued this morning by the Kingdom of Rumburg regarding the outcome of naval operations conducted near Odrejk.
Contrary to statements broadcast by Rumburgian authorities, the reality of the engagement was one of severe losses for the Royal Rumburgian Navy. Agnolian naval forces and the 23rd Staalport Coastal Brigade successfully repelled the attempted operation, inflicting substantial damage on multiple Rumburgian surface combatants and support vessels. Several enemy warships were sunk or rendered combat ineffective, forcing the remaining fleet to withdraw to the nearest wharf for repairs.
While Agnolian forces also sustained losses during the engagement, our sailors carried out their duties with exceptional professionalism and courage in the face of a numerically superior force. The Republic of Agnolia views the Kingdom's declaration of a "decisive victory" as a transparent attempt to conceal a costly military setback from both the international community and the Rumburgian public.
The 23rd Staalport Coastal Brigade remains vigilant and fully prepared to respond to further aggression and unseen threats. Operations to secure the region and protect Agnolian sovereignty continue.
The Republic extends its gratitude to every sailor, officer, and service member who participated in the defense of our nation, and honors those whose lives were claimed by the harvests of war. Their determination and sacrifice have once again demonstrated that Agnolia cannot be undermined by intimidation or misinformation, nor by an adversary determined to spread falsehoods.
