Hello everyone!

Thank you all for your continued support and interest in Darkphobia. We're excited to share that our atmospheric horror puzzle game is participating in Steam Next Fest, and the demo is now available to download!

We invite you to experience a puzzle adventure filled with light, darkness, and childhood fears.

In the demo, you'll play as a child who is afraid of the dark. Before going to bed, you must travel through every room in the house, turn off all the lights, and safely make your way back to your bed.

If you enjoy games like this, we'd greatly appreciate it if you could add Darkphobia to your Steam Wishlist!

What's Included in the Demo?

The demo features Chapter 1 of the game, consisting of 8 levels with an estimated playtime of around 30 minutes.

Players explore the house from a third-person, top-down perspective, observing room layouts and using various light sources and environmental mechanics to plan safe routes through the darkness.

As you progress through the demo, you'll gradually encounter new mechanics and puzzle elements.

Light Sources

  • Standard Lights

  • Timed Lights (automatically turn off after a short period)

  • Rotatable Lights

  • Multiple Switches Controlling the Same Light

  • Special Light Source: Microwave Light with a Limited Duration

Room Elements

  • Standard Doors

  • Blocked Doors (must be opened from the opposite side)

  • Light-Passing Windows (allow light through but cannot be crossed)

  • Openable Curtains

Use these tools and mechanics wisely to create a safe path through the darkness.

New Collectible System

The demo also introduces a brand-new collectible system.

Each level contains a special collectible waiting to be discovered. These collectibles aren't just optional secrets—they may reveal additional information about the world, story, and mysteries hidden within Darkphobia.

Be sure to inspect them carefully if you find one!

The Full Game Will Offer Much More

The demo is only the beginning of Darkphobia's journey.

The full version is currently planned to include:

  • 4 Chapters,35 Levels

  • More Environmental Mechanics

  • More Complex Multi-Room Layouts

  • More Challenging Puzzle Combinations

  • Multi-Character Puzzle Gameplay

As the game progresses, different mechanics will begin to interact and combine in increasingly complex ways, creating deeper and more varied puzzle-solving experiences.

Thank you again for your support, and we hope you enjoy your time with the Darkphobia demo!
