Void Cargo: Equilibrium · published · build 25698503

All Regions except Titan and Hyperion got a redesign!
All regions had good ideas and a unique twist for the overall terrain (and those are still present) but none of those regions were as nicely detailed as Titan.
I have added unique detail like spines, ridges, rock formations, smaller gullies, etc. to all maps and also improved the possible positions for the resource deposits, discoveries and bases so they fit better into the terrain.
Important:
Your saves are safe! Existing maps will continue working. You can play on the old maps "forever".
You can still select the old maps when starting a new career but I don't recommend it.
I also finally added a crash sequence which shows the lander breaking up if you do a very hard landing or crash into a building. It was surprisingly hard to get the camera to automatically focus on the action - so don't be alarmed if sometimes the camera's focus is a bit... not ideal.
Safe flying... or have fun crashing!
Full changelog:
Explore rebuilt versions of Ceres, Erebus, Selene, Eos, Prometheus, Aurora, Argo, Aster, Kepler, Tycho, Sulfur, Thalassa, Tethys, Oblique Mare, Vesper, and Vulcan.
Broken ridges, branching valleys, eroded spires, and irregular mesas give each region more varied terrain. Smaller gullies, ledges, and rock formations add detail along the routes.
Resource deposits are spread more widely across suitable terrain, with placement that accounts for nearby freight routes and keeps sites clear of water and structures.
New careers use the revised regions. Existing careers can continue in the older versions, available under “Older regions” in regional transport. Clearance for an older region also grants access to its revised version; saved progress stays with each region.
Fatal impacts now break the lander into pieces. The crash camera holds its focus while the debris settles. You can open the crash report before the short sequence ends. The camera respects the motion-effects setting.
Geyser steam now flows from a fixed base at each vent, with shaded mineral colours, warning wisps, fading plume tops, and low mist across the field.
Rift lightning strikes at varied positions in brief discharges, sometimes striking again along the same bolt. Darker storm clouds light up from within in time with the lightning.
You can land on clear sections of Equilibrium Array foundations. Hard landings still cause damage, and walls and equipment remain obstacles. Use the marked pad to access array services.
Fixed scrolling and ship-schematic sizing in the upgrade shop, including layouts with limited screen height.
Fixed some geometry problems on base buildings.
