We’re excited to announce the next major step in the development of **Project Horror Tales Multiplayer (PHTMP)** with the release of **Version 4.0**.

PHTMP 4.0 marks the beginning of our dedicated server testing phase and represents an important milestone as we continue building the foundation for the multiplayer experience.

## 🖥️ Dedicated Server Testing

Version 4.0 introduces our dedicated server testing environment.

The primary focus of this phase is evaluating:

* Dedicated server stability
* Server performance and load
* Multiplayer connections
* Multiple concurrent players
* Loading performance
* General multiplayer functionality

This testing will help us identify and address issues that may not appear during smaller internal tests.

## 🗺️ Updated Starting Area

The game world has received an updated **starting area**, providing players with a more structured beginning when joining the server.

Additional world and gameplay improvements will continue throughout development.

## 💾 Character Saving — Fixed

The previous issue where player characters and their inventory could be lost after logging out has been **fixed**.

Players can now retain their character data between sessions.

This fix is an important step toward establishing reliable player progression on the dedicated server.

## ⚠️ Closed Alpha

Please remember that **PHTMP 4.0 is still in Closed Alpha**.

Players may encounter:

* Bugs and glitches
* Server instability
* Longer-than-expected loading times
* Gameplay issues
* Missing or incomplete features
* Unexpected behavior

The purpose of this testing phase is to identify these issues, gather feedback, and continue improving the multiplayer experience.

## 🐛 Help Us Improve PHTMP

If you encounter a bug or other issue while playing, please report it through the official PHTMP community channels.

Detailed reports, screenshots, videos, and information about how an issue occurred are extremely helpful during development.

## 🚀 What's Next?

Version 4.0 is only the beginning of the next stage of PHTMP Multiplayer development.

We will continue working on server stability, gameplay systems, world content, player progression, and additional multiplayer functionality as testing progresses.

Future client updates are planned to be distributed through the **Steam Playtest**, providing testers with a simpler way to receive new builds.

Thank you to everyone participating in the Closed Alpha and helping us test **Project Horror Tales Multiplayer**.

**Welcome to PHTMP 4.0.**
