Guilds of Mountgate – Update v0.3.4.1

Greetings Adventurers,

v0.3.4.1 is now live!

Following the much larger v0.3.4.0 update, this release focuses primarily on three areas: Player Trading, Crafting & Smithing usability, and another substantial visual pass across the interface.

A More Flexible Flea Market

The Flea Market continues to evolve into a proper player-to-player trading system.

You can now offer entire Crates containing non-stackable items, making it much easier to sell collections of equipment or other individual goods without consuming an excessive number of offer slots.

Multiple non-stackable items can also be combined into a single offer slot inside your Player Stall.

We've also significantly expanded the pricing range for inexpensive goods.

Low-value items can now be listed between ±1% and up to ±50% of their base value, rather than being restricted to the previous ±10% range.

This should make the Flea Market considerably more useful for everyday goods where a difference of a few Copper simply wasn't enough to create meaningful competition between sellers.

More Choice at Crafting & Smithing Stations

One of the goals of the recent Crafting and Smithing changes has been to give individual workshops and settlements stronger identities.

Not every Smithy should necessarily feel identical, and the things available at a location should increasingly reflect the place itself.

At the same time, we understand that some players simply prefer the convenience of the older combined recipe view.

So now you can have both.

Crafting and Smithing Stations include a new option that allows you to show all recipes currently available to your skill, similar to the previous system.

If you prefer the more immersive location-based approach, you can keep using it. If you'd rather have the convenience of seeing everything in one place, you can enable that instead.

We've also rebalanced several regional Smithing tier unlocks to better support the location-focused progression.

Another Major UI Pass

The visual overhaul of Guilds of Mountgate continues.

A large number of interface elements have received another round of changes, including new visuals, actual textures, improved hover effects, cleaner layouts and plenty of smaller fixes.

The Top Bar has received new hover feedback and the different Seasons now have their own dedicated icons.

The goal remains the same as with the recent artwork updates: bringing the older parts of the game up to the standard of the newest content and moving further away from the cleaner, more modern interface Guilds of Mountgate started with.

The UI should increasingly feel like it actually belongs to the world you're playing in.

And we're getting pretty close to where we want it to be.

Fixes & Quality of Life

Several smaller issues have been cleaned up along the way.

Bank sorting works correctly again, activities should no longer incorrectly display "Tool: None", and the order of Gold, Silver and Copper inside the Flea Market has been corrected.

There are also plenty of smaller visual fixes and Quality-of-Life improvements throughout the interface.

v0.3.4.1 may be a smaller update than its predecessor, but it continues something that's becoming increasingly important as Guilds of Mountgate grows:

giving players more choice without sacrificing the identity of the world.

The Flea Market offers more freedom in how you trade. Crafting and Smithing let you choose between convenience and location-focused progression. And the interface itself continues moving towards a visual identity that better matches Vellgar.

There's plenty more to come.

See you in Vellgar!
